The Group of Cluster Chemistry and Energy Catalysis was established in March 2021 in Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Processes Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The group is dedicated to the research on the catalytic conversion of energy related small molecules. The group is equipped with an independently designed and built mass spectrometry platform, which allows gas-phase chemical methods to analyze the microscopic mechanism of the catalytic reaction process; the group also has a catalyst synthesis and reaction test platform, which can carry out various Targeted catalyst design and development; with the high-performance computing cluster, the group is capable of theoretical simulation and analysis of varied reaction process. Through the comprehensive combination of gas phase, condensed phase and theoretical methods, to help the design and development of high-efficiency catalytic systems for energy related small molecules.
